The Strategic Planning committee met on September 19th to review a version of the plan drafted over the summer by Sarah Kruger and Amanda Herzberger. After making changes, Chair Amanda Herzberger presented the plan to the Board on September 27th as an update and the Board has given the go ahead to continue with the process.
The more general part of the Strategic Plan is getting close to being finalized. As such, we will be turning our efforts to more granular and specific recommendations for the rest of the fall.
Our hope is that early in 2017 we will be able to present three documents to the general membership:
It isn't too late to get involved and we'd love to have your input during this next stage of the process. We will be looking at issues ranging from membership requirements to committee structure to financial considerations, so now is the time to have your voice heard. The Strategic Planning sub-committees that met throughout this past spring did extensive research on what other leagues are doing and we will use that information to shape our discussion going forward.
We anticipate having 3-4 more meetings before the final documents are ready to be presented.
