Annie is a health educator in Living Well where her primary focus is mental health education and outreach. Her areas of interest are on hot topics in college mental health, including suicide prevention, eating disorders, depression, and anxiety – as well as their intersection with different identities. She serves as an adviser, facilitator and a committee member on a number of campus and state wide initiatives aimed to create a healthy, safe and vibrant community. Annie received her Masters Degree in Education at the University of Vermont and her undergraduate degree from St. Michael’s College.
Annie's presentation will cover Suicide Prevention efforts at UVM and in Higher Education. Annie is a member of the Vermont Suicide Prevention Coalition, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and chair of UVM's Suicide Awareness Committee. She will talk about the trends and complexities on college campuses in regards to mental health, mental illness, and suicidal ideation.
